Together for Growth
“As part of our strategy and 2020 vision to grow our business in higher added value segments, we acquired the speciality paper business of Cham Paper Group,” said Thomas Kratochwill, Vice President Marketing & Sales for Sappi’s Packaging and Speciality Papers. “In addition to our packaging and speciality papers, we are also showing Transjet® dye sublimation transfer papers for textiles previously marketed by Cham, along with a line of wide format inkjet papers. Sappi will continue to invest in this successful line of business to ensure continued innovation. It is exciting to be able to share this extensive one-stop shopping portfolio of specialty papers with visitors to the show. The Sappi exhibit truly represents our theme ‘Together for Growth,’ offering growth opportunities for us – and more importantly, for our customers as we continue to accelerate further product innovation. The Cham Paper Group and other acquisitions and investments firmly establish Sappi as a global company and a sustainable partner that offers multi-mill sourcing for reliable delivery across the entire product line.”
Transjet dye sublimation paper is an excellent addition to the Sappi portfolio of speciality papers. They feature optimal cost efficiency and consistent reliability, designed for use with all common printing systems and with a wide range of inks. These truly sustainable papers deliver consistent colour transfer with minimum ink consumption, are PE-free, contain 100% recyclable pulp and are produced in FSC quality, placing them in line with Sappi’s sustainability practices.
Sappi is also featuring tear-resistant Scrolljet wide format inkjet paper at the show. This 100% recyclable speciality paper is suitable for use with solvent, UV-curable and latex inks. Its special surface treatment ensures brilliant color results that provide exceptional luminosity for front- and back-lit applications.
In addition to Transjet dye sublimation transfer and wide format inkjet papers, Sappi stand is also featuring:
· Sappi Sol CCK silicone-based release papers suitable for pressure sensitive graphic arts applications for offset, digital and screen production processes. These carrier papers are perfect for self-adhesive applications such as outdoor advertising, films for vehicle wraps, plotter films and more.
· Fusion Topliner and Fusion Uncoated for corrugated board applications including consumer packaging, shelf-ready packaging and POS displays, especially suited for use with digital printing technologies.
